    Golden Globes is today!

Today is a big day for DREAMGIRLS, the film has five nominations at the Golden Globes. I will be watching every minute of it to see what happens. You can catch red carpet action starting at 5pm ET on the E! channel and the TV guide channel. I will also post pics of the cast as they arrive, I can't wait to see what everyone will be wearing. The best supporting actresss category is one of the first awards to be given out so make sure you are watching it from the very beginning. Also, if anyone out there could record the DREAMGIRLS segements of the show I would appreciate it. I'm sure it will be on youttube but I'm putting the request out there. Jamie Foxx will be introducing the DREAMGIRLS clip and I heard he's flying in from Paris to do it.

Here are a couple links you can check for information and discussion on presenters, nominees, and the show:

Jennifer Hudson & Eddie Murphy both win Golden Globe for supporting actor in a motion picture & supporting actress in a drama

5:59 p.m. Last year's supporting actress winner, Rachel Weisz, wearing a strapless red gown, gave out the honor for supporting actor in a motion picture. Eddie Murphy won for playing the R&B singer struggling to hang on to his career in "Dreamgirls" -- a departure from his comedic turns in such films as "Dr. Dolittle." "Wow, I'll be damned," Murphy said, thanking director Bill Condon for putting him in the movie.

5:05 p.m., Last year's supporting actor winner George Clooney got the evening started by giving out the award for best supporting actress in a drama, with the honor going to Jennifer Hudson. Hudson, was voted off American Idol three years ago, received best supporting actress in a motion picture for her deput performance as a R&B singer in "Dreamgirls."
"I've always dreamed, but never ever this big, siad a visibly moved Hudson who was moved to tears. "You don't know how much this does for my confidence…I cannot believe this."
Hudson is only the second African American actress to win a Golden Globe in a feature film award. Whoopi Goldberg won twice for 1985's "The Color Purple" and 1990's "Ghost."

Congrats to Eddie and J-Hud! If Bey decides to take a risk with her futur roles and works hard enough, she will win...

Congratulations to Jennifer, Eddie and the Producer of Dreamgirls. I have been rooting for it since last January. Glad to see it all come to pass. I wonder what Jennifer will wear onstage to accept her award at the Oscars?

Congrats to Jenny, Eddie and Dreamgirls. Jen looked absolutely beautiful. I was moved by her humble speech and tears in her eyes. I felt so proud at that moment. So happy for Eddie too. They deserved it because the film was absolutely awesome.

    Congrats to the Dreamgirls team!!!

This movie sucked it was a high school production that should not be close to the best movie of the year .Actors over acting the roles just to make the Broadway production a movie.Jennifer Hudson was not all that she over acted and could not hit the notes Jennifer Holliday hit so smoth it made her the star of the show.Elfie is suppose to be the star because Jennifer Holliday made that role the star.JayHud you won the golden Globe which most times means you do not get the oscar even though there is not alot out there for supporting actress.
I thought Eddie Murphy was good because he like Jayhud, and Beyonce was out of his league. The people who think this movie can even hold a candle to the broadway production do not know what is good from bad .We need to stop remaking old storys and come up with new ones.Jennifer Hudson needs to understand she needs alot of work.Hey Madonna can fool many so can you.you can go into a studio but try it live on stage. That national anthem you did proved you need work.

I agree this movie was not all that and Jennifer Holliday would not admit it but she would just laugh at Jennifer Hudson proformance it does not measure up.Sorry you did try but Idol got it right your not that great. The movie did make a point to get the young (in the head line) actors in the lead roles to get the young to go see it but again it was not even close to the broadway production.Kids who do not know the original show do not know what they missed even the utube grammy show which was over the top (live) was better then this movie.
