A Tribute To Aretha Franklin

The United Negro College Fund is putting on its annual An Evening of Stars. This year Aretha Franklin, the undisputed "Queen of Soul," is being honored with the prestigious Award of Excellence. Among the people who will be honoring Ms. Franklin is none other than Jennifer Hudson as well as Smokey Robinson,Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock, James Ingram, Michael Bolton and Stevie Wonder. The three hour show will be taped on Sept. 8 and 9 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. It will air nationwide in late Janurary 2007. Jennifer Hudson will be performing during the Sept. 9th taping.
