Update: Jennifer, Eddie, Beyonce (best supporting actress musical/comedy), and Dreamgirls was nominated for best picture in the comedy/musical category. However, Bill Condon was NOT nominated. Booo! How could they not nominate Condon, that does not make one bit of sense. I'll have the list in a few minutes.

They haven't announced all the categories but we know for a fact that Eddie and Jennifer have been nominated. Congratulations! I'll post the full nomination list when it's available. Put it on E!

Go Beyonce...how many female stars get nominated for 2 Golden Globes in the same year.
Also, Go Jennifer (who will obviously win) and Eddie Murphy. I am upset that Bill Condon didn't get a nomination, but its ok...He will get his time at the Oscars...

Go Dreamgirls, and thanks for this site!!!!!!

Helen Mirren got nominated for 3 Golden Globes today, and Emily Blunt for 2 Golden Globes, so Beyonce is not alone.

These nominations are fantastic for the movie. The only thing I can´t understand is why Bill Condon was snubbed for the Globes. This is bad! The Oscars will get it right!

I'd love to see B win for Best Actress, and stick it to Meryl Streep. She gets nominated for everything. She would even get nominated if she played a trash can.

if the movie is mainly about Jennifer Hudson's Effie Character and if she has the more "meaty role" as Beyonce said, why wasn't she nominated for Best Actress instead of Beyonce? and why wasn't Beyonce put in the Best Supporting Actress category? is soming putting their star power around? mmmm i wonder? or was it the director? either way, that's not fair!

    Beyonce best actress??? LOLOLOL

JENNIFER, JENNIFER, JENNIFER!!!! I want her to beat out the competition. I also want her to beat Beyonce'. Beyonce' made a comment that the reason she didn't get Effie character because she didn't want to put on the extra 20 pounds. If she had extra voice she still wouldn't beat out Jennifer Hudson. Go Jennifer!!!!

Guys, let's keep it positive. Beyonce didn't say that was the reason, she knew going into it that she wasn't going to be Effie White.

They all deserve the accolades they're getting, and it's a good movie. Let's not make it into a competition.

I really can't understand why it is that when black people are in a positive role/movie it's always some BS drama brought up. NO Beyonce' didn't say she didn't want to gain the 20lbs.. She said she would have but instead she wanted the role of Deena. NO Effie is not the focus of the story.. The story is based on Deena but yes Effie has the more meaty role because of her problems in the group. Before you comment on the movie, know the facts. It's loosely based on the Supremes. So if you really look at it, Beyonce' does an excellent job playing her character. she shed to 20lbs and toned down her usual self to get the character as it was 25 years ago. Jennifer stands out as well as Jennifer Holiday did because of the song. Out of the original Dreamgirl members, Loretta Divine, Cheryl Lee Raplh and Jennifer Holiday, Jennifer Holiday was the one that stood out because of that song.. Congratulations to the entire cast and to the movie. Can't wait to see it.

sorry to say this but B can not act. look at the austin powers movie

    Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:26 PM) :

beyonce took deena role because it fit her more and she doesnt have the voice for her and acting skills, to be truthfully honest jennifer hudson didint even have to sing that song and would of did a better job than beyonce, beyonce is not acking from the heart she just want to be known as a trple threat which she is not, now she can sing her tail off, but for acting its not one of her talents
