I just t hought he was being to picky. Like he had to find something wrong with it but whatever.
Eh, good enough. This movie isn't going to be to the top of everyone's tastes, so if he and Aisha (who I adore) can look at it objectively and say it was really good (which they did), then that's fine by me.
I agree, it's as if he has read all of the reviews so far and wanted to be the one of those critics who finds the faults and proud of the fact that he's standing outside of the critics who praise the film. Shame on you!
Hey, "Dreamgirls" was considered by the American Film Institute as one of the ten best pictures of 2006. That's great and congratulations to everyone who was involved in the movie.

I really wanted to hate his review as well, but he did speak favorably about it, saying that in spite of high production values and spectacular performances that it simply wasn't to his particular (lacking, some of us would argue) taste. So it sounded fair enough to me.

i'm sorry, but "devil wears prada" as one of the ten best films of the year? "happy feet"? "inside man"? i simply don't get this list.
not everyones gonna like the movie. especially those who are not tuned to the idea of a musical adapted to the big screen.
